World War Z - Review

What a great thrill ride! I will admit that this film looked pretty dumb from the trailers. Just a generic zombie movie. However, the fact that this movie stars Brad Pitt, made me think to myself, "Maybe this film has a trick or two up its sleeve." It may not have anything fairly unique in it, but World War Z is a very well made movie. The action scenes are some of the most heart-pounding, excitement filled sequences I've seen in recent films. It's a great blend of action with horror and a hint of a large disaster movie with all the film's different locations. To be honest, it's fairly by-the-numbers, but they the numbers are done very well. You have a likable character who is a badass trying to survive mass hysteria. What more do you really need? Some great effects and action definitely help, and this film has those. Not much I can really say other than it's really good.
