I have never seen a Jason Statham stand-alone movie before and I decided to give this a watch because of Homefront coming out soon (Keep in mind this was reviewed in late 2013). Right off the bat, I noticed that this movie's editing style was very strange. It took me out of the film and it made my head hurt at times. Also, I am not a fan of many different groups of characters all after one thing., especially when the "thing" they are after isn't revealed to the audience until 40 minutes into the movie. All these bad guys from different countries are double crossing one another and blah blah blah. It's hard to keep track of. Once Jason Statham comes into the movie, it becomes a bit more entertaining, but at this point, it's too late. The best thing in this movie is obviously the fights and car chases but I have to say, props to the little Chinese girl. She actually did a pretty good job. Is this a movie you should hunt down? Not a chance. However, I would say that if you watch this on a Wednesday after school on a rainy day when you should actually be doing homework and you're a 13 year old boy, then this movie really shines. If you are not watching in that circumstance, you can skip this one.
