Fury - Review

One of the best war movies I've ever seen. Right up there with Black Hawk Down, Inglorious Basterds and Saving Private Ryan. All of the men deliver excellent performances, but the one who impressed me the most was Logan Lerman. When acting alongside acting giants like Brad Pitt, it is quite easy to feel out of place. An example of this is B.J. Novak with Brad Pitt in Inglorious Basterds. When they are together, you keep thinking, "What is he doing here? B,J. Novak with Brad Pitt?" I was worried the same thing was going to happen here. You have this young actor playing alongside one of the best in Hollywood, but man does he deliver. When Logan Lerman cries, you believe it. You don't look and say, "Wow, this kid is a try hard trying to act alongside this Hollywood Legend." He did a great job. You know who else did a great job, David Ayer! The dude can direct, if the studios stay out of the way of course. This movie is tense! The tank battles had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The horrors of war are front and centre here. You see it all, to burning decaying bodies to what real damage those tanks can do. If you like war films, this is a must watch. If you like to get your heart-pumping with excitement, this is a must watch. If you like watching movies, a remarkable film like this, is a must watch!
