Superbad - Review

One of the best teen comedies ever! Other than the whole night out with the cops aspect, this movie dealt with real teenage issues. The fear of losing a friendship after high school, teen romance and the always awful, trying to get booze while you're underage. Let's be honest, you either knew these kids, or WERE these kids. At least for my generation, Superbad sums up being a teenager almost to perfection. I've never met a kid who shot guns with cops while drunk before, but if you have, write a script about it, I'd love to see it. However, a movie like this can easily fall apart if you don't cast the two teenagers well. I've seen plenty of teen movies fall off the rails simply because I hate the main character. While I might not have been friends with these two morons, they are super likeable and you understand their issues, wants, desires and you do end up rooting for them. You want these guys to get laid! I can't recommend this movie enough guys. Hell, it opens with a song from KC and the Sunshine Band. If that doesn't warrant 5 stars, I don't know what does. (Hyperbolic statement, but you get the idea).
