Hey! You! Have you ever had a job? This is the movie for you! Office Space is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Super dry, extremely sarcastic, and one of the most relatable scenarios on planet earth. Not going into work to slave away for a terrible boss and sleeping in all day is something all of us dream of. This film gives us a way to live out that fantasy with some great laughs! Extremely quotable and will make you smile from start to finish. I could easily just list off all of my favourite Office Space quotes, but if I did that, not only would I ruin the movie, but this review would go on for way longer than it should. Hate your job? Watch this movie! Seriously, its that simple. I guess the only other thing I can say is that this film works without having any major stars (other than Jennifer Aniston). I don't like it when comedies feel like they can coast on the fact they have a big comedic acting group and not pay attention to the writing. Where they feel like they can get away with improv and the jokes will naturally come (Ghostbusters). The jokes here are well-written and the characters are well cast to deliver those jokes. Also, this movie knows how to use music to it's advantage. Most comedies use music to simply set the time period, (insert any 90's teen movie here) or they pull the Wayne's World "She's a babe" gag where the character sees something in slow motion while a song plays in the background. Office Space takes it a step further. Heard of the term, "So white?" Well, this movie turns that into a joke by having a movie about mostly middle-class business men do everything to hardcore gangsta rap music full of F-Bombs and N-Words. Watching Ron Levingston walk into his office smiling with a cup of coffee while "Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta - Geto Boys" is playing, is one of the best uses of music ever in a comedy. So if you need a major cheer-up, look no further than Office Space.
