Bedazzled - Review

This is an extremely underrated comedy! I will admit, when I saw the poster for this movie, I thought this was just your average forgettable 90's or early 2000's comedy. However, shoutout to John Campea and when he was with AMC Movie Talk for recommending this to his viewers! I decided to give it a shot based on that recommendation alone. What a hidden gem! I love finding movies like this that I'm sure nobody has talked about since the day it came out and it turns out that it is a ton of fun. Brendan Fraser really shows off his comedic chops and Elizabeth Hurley is wonderful. Perfect casting. Someone who is extremely awkward with women and doesn't have any game... Brendan Fraser. Someone who is extremely sexy and witty and knows it... Elizabeth Hurley. Perfect! You've just cast your early 2000's comedy. The premise is fairly unique too. Some nerd wants to get the girl, signs a deal with the devil to get her, however, all the wishes he is granted end up being major screw ups. Now I'm sure you can find a sketch comedy skit somewhere with the same plot and tell me that I know nothing about movies because I said this film was unique. If you do, then great! You've proved your point. However, a statement I will stand beside is that this film is a ton of fun! Perfect late night comedy that honestly isn't being talked about enough. Give it a shot!
