The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water - Review

I never watched Spongebob as a kid so I had no interest in seeing this movie. However, after a fresh score on rotten tomatoes and some people saying that this is the Lego Movie of this year, I decided to give it a watch. I was hoping to an overall enjoyable time, but boy was I wrong. This movie makes me mad because, for 5 really bad jokes that make you cringe, there is one joke that gets you laughing on the floor. Super inconsistent. I know I am not the target audience for this movie but a kids movie can still be enjoyable if it's made well. Unlike this film which didn't know what audience it was pandering to. The 3D element in the real world was actually quite fun to watch. Unfortunately they are barely in their 3D format and when the do come around to it, the movie has already sunk to the bottom of bikini... well, bottom. I can only recommend this movie to super fans of the show or extremely little kids. If you're not one of those, then watch something else. Save your money.
