This is one of the most intriguing movies I've ever seen. Throughout the entire movie, I was sitting in my seat and tapping my foot like crazy because I couldn't wait to see what happened next. The mystery and suspense are so well executed in the script and Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike do an excellent job bringing that to life. I always joke about seeing certain movies doesn't make you want to do certain things. For example, watching Jaws then going swimming or watching Titanic then going on a cruise liner or a ferry. This film seriously gave me doubts about ever wanting to get married. Now, I'm sure that everyone out there has had a couple crazy ex-girlfriend/boyfriend stories and everyone has had that conversation with their friends about them. Whether it's guys at the bar saying, "Don't worry bro, she was crazy!" or girls at the club saying, "Don't worry, he doesn't deserve you. You're too good for him." Now imagine those stories being put on the big screen with the most dysfunctional couple ever in a relationship drama that I can only describe as a nightmare. Sure, Nick (Ben Affleck) is not a perfect guy with a perfect track record, but Amy (Rosamund Pike) drags him through hell. It's always a good sign that movie can make you hate the antagonist and really relate to the protagonist. However, I'm just wondering if that is because I'm a guy. As for the actual film itself, it is so wonderfully shot. Smooth camera pans, tight colour scheme, and great acting along with a story that is so gripping, this movie is fantastic. If you are a dude, watch it with a bunch of other dudes. If you are a lady, watch this film during your next ladies night (and bring the red wine). Don't watch this film with your significant other unless you really want to have an uncomfortable talk about your relationship after the movie is over.
