Edge of Tomorrow - Review

Tom Cruise is one of my favourite actors. If you have read some of my other reviews, you would know that by now. Although I may not see the particular character he plays and I always see Tom Cruise the person, I am always up for any adventure with him. Edge of Tomorrow is one of his best movies because of how unique and entertaining it is. Sure, it's any alien invasion movie mixed with GroundHog Day, but you know what, I can't think of any other film that had that combination. The trailers for this film do not do it justice. The trailers make it seem like Edge of Tomorrow is some sort of philosophical pretentious movie about humanity and the unknown. Don't listen to that. Go into this movie expecting a fun action adventure/science fiction film with some laughs and you'll walk away satisfied. I was so surprised on how much I was smiling and laughing during this movie. It is a great time. That is mostly thanks to Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton who do a great job playing off Tom Cruise. This movie is absolutely fantastic. If you are planning to watch a movie on a newly purchased HD TV with a killer sound system, this is the movie to pick up! Can't recommend it enough!
