Robert Zemeckis is a magnificent filmmaker and this is a magnificent movie. A true love letter to the towers and to the human spirit. A great message of following your dreams and working as hard as you can to pursue them. People have complained about Joseph Gordon-Levitt's french accent in the film but I didn't have any problem with it at all. I thought he was great. The way in which his character narrated the story like he was telling it to a bunch of school children really worked and really made this film seem magical. When you watch him walk across the wire, you are left staring at the screen in awe... and in shock because of the impending doom just inches away from his feet. When this film ended, the theatre I was in burst out in applause. This is a great uplifting film and should be seen by everybody!
