Bridge of Spies - Review

Another film review down the tubes, here we go. This one will be difficult to review because this film was very dry. I don't really remember a whole ton of it to be completely honest. This isn't a war film like Saving Private Ryan (another Spielberg/Hanks collaboration), this film is about spies and espionage between the USA and USSR. First off, I would only recommend this film to history buffs who find the Cold War era fascinating. If you don't, then stay clear of this film. As for me who does have a large interest in history, I found this film extremely long and very dry. I know it is unfair to expect great action scenes because films can be full of just people talking in rooms and still be interesting, unfortunately, this film couldn't keep my attention. It is well-made for sure. The acting is really solid and the production design is very well done, but the dry dialogue couldn't keep me invested. If you are interested in the Cold War, I would say give it a shot, but I couldn't do this film again.
