Sicario - Review

From a filmmaker's perspective, this movie is top-notch. Every single frame in this movie looks fantastic and the acting is superb. From an average movie-goer's perspective, I can see how it can be a little boring at some parts. There were times where the movie really slowed down but at other times it was extremely intense. The whole raid into Mexico sequence with all the Jeeps is truly chilling and crazy to watch. Emily Blunt does a good job as the protagonist we relate to but the most interesting character was Benicio Del Toro's character Alejandro. He was the most exciting character to watch and he was the one who actually had an objective and took action to pursue it while Emily Blunt was just along for the ride. It works well though and didn't bother me that much. You'll be thinking of this movie long after you leave the theatre so I would highly recommend it. But this film isn't for the faint of heart. Just keep that in mind before you buy your ticket.
