Princess Mononoke - Review

Princess Mononoke is my first real taste of Japanese Animated Feature Films. I've watched some of the Pokemon films and saw the Daft Punk's Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem but never a Hayao Miyazaki film. I have always found Japanese anime pretty cool but I never really got into it. So going into this, I didn't know what to expect. Right off the bat, I really like the atmosphere of this film. A very dark world but yet a very peaceful one too. It's just really nice to look at. The plot to me was a bit confusing. I'm sure that is because I'm new to the genre but I was interested enough to keep watching. I really like the epic scale that these films can achieve. It reminded me a lot of Lord Of The Rings. I'm sure that if you love anime, you've already seen this movie but I liked it. I'm interested in seeing some other anime films.
