Well, I finally saw Home Alone and to be completely honest, I don't see it as the masterpiece so many other people do. It simply just does not have that nostalgia factor that would make it a timeless classic for me. But in saying that, a film like Space Jam feels nostalgic to me even though I saw it for the first time when I was 18. I don't know, I guess this film didn't tap into my childhood wonder and Christmas spirit the same way something like Polar Express or The Santa Clause 2 did. But there is nothing really bad in this movie either. Macaulay Culkin was one of the best child actors ever and he is fun to watch here and some of the traps that he pulls on the burglars at the end are pretty creative and also pretty violent. Overall, I enjoyed watching it. Nothing spectacular but still a good flick.
