Before you read this review, I strongly encourage you to watch this film without knowing anything about it! With that being said, I will not spoil any major plot details so you will still be able to read this review and be surprised when you see this film. Now on with this review. Guys... I love this movie. I have been looking forward to it forever and it lived up to the hype! Was it the best movie I have EVER seen? No, but 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' made me feel emotions I haven't felt in a movie in a long, long time. I was interested in every single character, the jokes made me laugh out loud, the drama got me really intrigued and somewhat emotional and the action scenes were extremely exciting. Daisy Ridley and John Boyega as Rey and Finn, spectacular! Oscar Isaac might just play the coolest character in Star Wars next to Han Solo, who was also amazing and Kylo Ren is a great villain. I want to punch him in the face he's so evil. Domhnall Gleeson really surprised me as this extremely evil First Order General and BB-8 might just be the greatest thing in a movie ever! Also, the fight choreography was awesome. Some of the best lightsaber battles in the entire saga.
If I had to say somethings that I didn't like were that Poe Dameron, Oscar Isaac's character, didn't get enough screentime. Also, the Rebel X-Wing fighters, while the visuals were amazing, really didn't sound too invested in their war battle jargon. These, of course, are little nitpicks that don't weigh down the movie in any way. This is the first time in my life where I have to wait to find out what happens next in the Star Wars saga. Before, if I wanted to know what happened next, I had the DVD's to find out. Now, I have to wait two years to see what happens next, which is a weird feeling but also a great one. This film is incredible guys! The force is strong with this one!
