Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 - Review

I never noticed how much of a mess this film was. Now I know I'm probably being too hard on this film because it is only "Part 1" of a full entry, but if Warner Bros. can release this as its own film with its own poster, soundtrack, poster, etc. I will treat it as such. I will admit, this film starts off exciting. The escape from Harry's old house with everyone drinking poly juice potion to Harry's infiltration into the Ministry of Magic, all brought some genuine excitement. But once our heroes get stranded in the country side, man is it a snooze fest. They don't do anything! I wouldn't mind so much if they talked about stuff that was interesting. But instead, we get hints of Dumbledore past which still doesn't make sense to me and dream sequences about something to do with Olivander's wand shop? I still don't understand it. It seems like this film sprung on a lot of backstories to keep track of but they tell it to us in such strange ways. There is a reason why people say to skip this film in the Harry Potter film series. The good news is that the "Part 2" of this film is spectacular!
