Moneyball - Review

In the process of transferring all the reviews over to my new website, it's really annoying discovering that certain reviews have just disappeared. So I am going to attempt to review this film five months after viewing it. Luckily, Moneyball is a fantastic film that is very memorable, so writing a new review shouldn't be that hard. Now, sports films can either be very cheesy or seem extremely forced. This film, on the other hand, flows extremely well. Even though there is a ton of baseball slang and jargon and mentions of players that I have never heard of (because I do not watch Major League Baseball), you are still able to follow along. The main reason for that is the excellent acting from Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill. The chemistry is unbelievable between these two. Watching the "Trade Deadline" scene just made me crave for an NHL story like this. Now until the Americans start taking an interest in hockey like the Canadians do, I don't think we will see one soon. This film is a great film and should be seen by everybody. For anyone that has felt like they don't have the tools to succeed or anyone that feels like people think less of you and don't think you have the power to accomplish anything, this film is for you. Regardless if you are a fan of baseball, Moneyball is worth many viewings!
