The Nice Guys - Review

A very different kind of humour that most people are not used to. It's not the kind of humour you hear Jonah Hill or Seth Rogen yelling out while high as a kite on an old couch. These jokes use a bit of everything. Deadpan, Hyperbolic, Ironic and even a little bit of deadpan. Am I saying that most audience members (millennials) are too stupid to get the humour?... Maybe. But I digress. This is a very fun movie because not only does it take place in a cool time period and it pairs two actors who you'd think wouldn't mesh together in a comedy but Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe really put it off. I know a lot of actors who try to pull off the "tough guy from Queens" act but Russell Crowe does a pretty good job and Ryan Gosling plays enough of a wimp to get some pretty good laughs. The action is entertaining and the comedy works... for the most part. Overall, I had fun with The Nice Guys.
