Tron: Legacy is an awesome movie, but, it does have it's fair share of problems. The acting isn't all that great, the story is not the most coherent or gripping and the climax is more than a little underwhelming. Normally if I was describing any other movie and I listed all of those problems above, I wouldn't have given the film such a good rating. The reason why this film gets this rating is that this is one of the coolest looking and feeling movies I've ever seen. Before Sam Flynn enters the computer world (The Grid), the action takes place in Vancouver (my home city) which was awesome to see in a film like this. The look of the grid is phenomenal. From the Disc Battles to the Light Cycles to the breathtaking Daft Punk score, this is one of the best movie worlds in cinematic history. With a big screen and a great sound system, this movie truly is a portal to another world. The story, however, while not terrible, doesn't hold up nearly as well as the visuals do. However, the visuals and the cinematic appeal of this film alone warrants a viewing on a big screen TV with a loud sound system. If you watch this film on your phone, it doesn't do it justice what so ever. This is a film experience I will come back to time and time again just as long as there is a big screen to watch it on.
