Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy - Review

If anyone is familiar with my reviews, I have sometimes thrown the "great movie to watch on VHS up at the lake" label at certain films. I have that saying because every summer, I would go up to my cousin's cabin for a week or two and every single year, we would watch a movie on VHS. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, was a film we watched over and over again. We could recite all the lines, act out all the scenes. This was a great comedy to grow up with. However, looking back, although Will Ferrell does have some memorable lines, most of his performance is just him yelling. Sometimes it's funny, but other times, like in the phone booth, it's really annoying. Sorry, the "I'm in a glass case of emotion" line was never really funny. I'm gonna keep this review fairly short because if you like Will Ferrell or any of the supporting cast like Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell etc. then this film is right up your alley. The humour is pretty cheap, but everyone needs just a little cheap humour in their lives. If you have never seen this film before, I say watch it. Therefore, you will be in the loop when someone says, "60% of the time, it works every time!"
