Cars 3 - Review

DISCLAIMER - I haven't seen the entire movie because of one of the most bizarre movie theatre stories I have ever experienced. For the movie itself, I wasn't too impressed. I felt like it catered to little kids and it seemed like it lacked any real effort. Then again, I haven't seen the whole thing so my judgement is based on an incomplete viewing experience. The story of that viewing experience begins now.
So my two friends and I decide to see Cars 3 at 8pm. However, we arrive at 8:15. So I think to myself, "No worries, we will just miss the previews then." We walk into the Cineplex, buy our popcorn and drinks and walk to our theatre. The guy takes our tickets, hands them back with three pairs of 3D glasses. We walk until we see a sign that says Cars 3. So naturally, we walk inside the theatre. The movie is already playing so we stumble around to find some seats. While walking up the stairs, one of my friends almost falls and drops his popcorn. He catches it just in time. We all sit down and are making so much noise trying to open the packages for the 3D glasses, but finally we are watching the movie. I notice that the movie has been playing for a while because the characters are discussing events that happened earlier in the movie and I thought to myself, "how late did we get in here?" So the movie goes on and once the final race happens, we look to each other and think, "did we go in the wrong theatre?" The movie ends, we look at our tickets, leave the theatre and realize we went into the wrong theatre. So we go into the theatre we were supposed to be in and we get in about 20 minutes prior to the scene where we walked into the first theatre. However, a guy in the back row thinks we are sneaking in and decides to rat us out. A theatre employee walks up to us so proud of himself and asks us in this condescending voice, "Can I see your tickets please?" I tell him that we went into the wrong theatre, give him our tickets and he realizes we have the right tickets. So he leaves us be and the guy who ratted us out is confused on why we are still here. He must have been really confused for when we left the theatre at the point where our first viewing began. So I have seen the last 3/4 of this movie, without seeing the first quarter. What a waste of scene points, but a funny story to tell my children.
