The Usual Suspects - Review

There are some certain movies where I get that classic, "You haven't seen that?! You call yourself a movie critic?!" The Usual Suspects is one of those movies. When I drove up to Shuswap Lake for the week, we had some time to cross some movies off the "must watch list" plus watch some hidden gems that I have never heard of before. Those reviews are coming, however, The Usual Suspects was the first film we watched. Now, I hate to do this to you guys, but this movie is one giant spoiler so I don't even want to talk about it. Kevin Spacey and the rest of the cast do an amazing job in the acting department and the script is extremely well put together. The dialogue is snappy, funny and dark and the way the story is told interesting too. I will admit that I was a little confused the first 30 minutes in watching it, but it's one of those movies that seems jumbled while watching it but is nicely wrapped with a bow at the end when all loose ends are met. That's why I don't want to mention the plot because there are so many twists and turns, it will make your head spin. If you want a movie that will make you feel like a detective and throw you through many loops and that is well written, then look no further. This movie is for you!
