The Disney kick continues with Bambi and to be honest, I really liked the second half of this movie and was completely bored during the first half. This is definitely a movie for little kids. Yeah, I get it, Bambi, Thumper, and Flower the skunk are all cute, wide-eyed animals doing cute things... and it gets old real fast. I'm sorry, but I can't lie. I ended up fast-forwarding the part with Bambi on ice. Sure, I have seen this movie before so I know what happens, but I just wanted to get to the better half of the movie which is after, SPOILER ALERT (but who am I kidding. Everybody knows this one) Bambi's mom is killed. Afterward, this movie gets rather intense. The animation, the music, the colours, the stakes the characters have, it's all rather intense for a Disney movie about a deer's life. That's probably the only thing that kept me watching, the atmosphere. Disney captured the essence of a forest beautifully and it's visually stunning. Other than that, it's just a bunch of cute animals with a rather intense ending. Not one of my favourites.
