Rush - Review

This movie is so good, I don't know where to begin. I don't really say that a movie is perfect too often, but I am going to say it here. Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl are perfect as James Hunt and Niki Lauda. These two play so well off each other because each of them brings that distinct personality of both racers to life. James is the arrogant, aggressive party machine and Niki is the cold, calculated, no nonsense man. They can't stand each other and you can understand and see why. That makes the races all that more exciting. I'm not really a car guy, mind you, but just hearing that engine roar and seeing the different points of view from within the F-1 racers was just too damn cool. Add on top of that the epic score from legendary Hans Zimmer and the production design of 1976 Europe, you have yourself a great looking and sounding movie. Mix that with those great characters I mentioned earlier and you have, in my eyes, a perfect film. Don't watch the trailers! Don't be spoiled! Walk into this film knowing only what I have told you and I promise you will walk out entertained, especially if you love cars!
