Sleepless in Seattle - Review

Guys, have no fear. If your girlfriend or fiancé or wife tells you that movie night this week is going to consist of you two watching Sleepless in Seattle, not to worry, this is a good movie. You may read the synopsis and think, "Oh great, I know exactly what's going to happen from this." And... yes the movie is fairly simple and paint by the numbers, but if that is the case, why is this movie so famous and popular even to this day? In my eyes, it's because of the two leads. Tom Hanks is one of the most likeable actors on this planet and he was a perfect choice to play this character. Meg Ryan is also likeable and down-to-earth... other than the whole falling in love with a guy over the radio and flying from Baltimore all the way to Seattle just to see him and not talk to him. Other than that, she's pretty down to earth. I have to mention though, if you really don't like the cheesy, sappy romance plot of some woman falling in love with a man over the radio and know that good actors won't sway your opinion, then this movie is not for you. It's just not. To be honest, I thought parts of this movie were definitely cheesy, but I wanted to keep watching not only because of the great leads, but Tom Hanks' kid is awesome. Not only is he adorable trying to get his dad to fall in love again, but he is hilarious. That's all I really have to say about it. It's a good movie and I enjoyed it. I guess it's always kind of cool to see places in a movie that you've visited in real life so that something. Ladies, if you love romantic comedies, this is the pinnacle of modern rom coms. Dudes, watch this movie with your girlfriend. She'll be thankful you did. Now if you will excuse me, I am about to get a very angry text that I did not give this film a 5/5 rating. Pray for me readers... pray for me.
