Ant-Man and the Wasp - Review

I'm going to keep this review nice and simple. I haven't seen The Incredible Hulk, but I think it's safe to say that this is the worst MCU movie I have ever seen. Thor: The Dark World has officially lost that title for me. To keep it simple, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang was able to hold his own against the other Avengers and he came across as a smart, charismatic dude. Here, he just seems like another bumbling idiot on screen. Now, I don't know if they did that just so that the Wasp could look more badass because we haven't seen her before, but either way, our main character seems to have stepped backwards in terms of development. I call it the Jack Sparrow syndrome. Where in the first movie, they are proactive and things happen because of there actions, then in future sequels, they are reactive and lose all their charm. So now we have a character that isn't very engaging in a story that seems like the biggest waste of time. So Hank Pym, Michael Douglas (who phones it in in quite a few scenes) has found a way to open up the Quantum Realm and hopes to find his wife down there. However, they are being chased by the FBI, some villain that wants revenge (typical) and some mafia members of... some mafia? It's so uninteresting. I'm not invested in our main character while him and his team try to do a task that isn't exciting getting chased by people we barely know. Tell me again why I should care at all. On top of that, some of the most cringeworthy humour I've seen in a recent blockbuster. I don't want to watch this movie again because I was insulted in the cinema. However, to be fair, there's nothing really god awful in this movie, but with a track record like the one Marvel has, I expected something better than this. Read the synopsis before going into Avengers 4 and ta-da, you just saved 2 hours of your time.
