Mary Poppins Returns - Review

It's funny how a movie can copy and paste it's predecessor beat for beat, but lack all the charm of the original. I will say that Emily Blunt is amazing and she is the reason why I kept wanting to watch. However, the story is almost exactly the same as the original, the other characters outside of Mary Poppins are so bland and forgettable and probably the worst offense of all is that the songs are not memorable what so ever. Even if you hated the first Mary Poppins movie, you can still admit that the songs were at least catchy and stuck with you long after the movie was over. The only song I can remember from this movie was something about the "London Sky". I remember some dolphins swimming around during one of the songs and I remember some balloons at the end, but that's about it. A serviceable movie, but lacking all the Disney magic that was so prevalent in the original.
