Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Crimes of Grindelwald - Review

The best way to know my true thoughts on this movie, check out my YouTube review.

But in short, this film forgot what made Harry Potter so special. A groupd of likable characters going on a magical adventure where they encounter mysterious worlds and magical creatures but also learn valuable lessons about family and friendship. This movie has absolutely none of that. We now have bland characters going on a story that not only doesn't make sense, but it extremely boring in the way that it is told. Not to mention that most of the decisions by the characters and the filmmakers are downright mind boggling.

This film misses the mark for characters, story, and most importantly, any emotional impact or emotional attachment what so ever. What's even worse is that there isn't even a silver lining in terms of comedy or action set-pieces. This is just a dull movie and it is a total shame that the Harry Potter franchise has it's first stinker in the franchise.
