How the Grinch Stole Christmas - Review

One Christmas movie that almost all of my friends have seen but I never saw as a kid is How The Grinch Stole Christmas, you know, the live action one. And to be completely honest, I thought that this movie would absolutely suck. But, it really wasn't that bad. Now, as a 24 year old with no kids, this movie doesn't really appeal to me, even as a film fan, but this film does have some good things in it.

Jim Carrey as the Grinch is so over the top and he is such a great physical performance and he is still able to move and act completely crazy even with all the make-up and costume which by the way, is really fantastic. Cindy Loo Who is also just the most adorable little kid and is super innocent and charming. The production design is top notch and although a tad cheesy, this film does capture the essence and message of Christmas. Including everyone in the festive cheer no matter how you look.

So all in all, while I may not watch this movie again anytime soon on my own, if my future kids want to watch this movie someday, I'd be more than happy to join them.
