Richard Jewell is a very solid movie and proves once again that Clint Eastwood is a master at his craft. However, his movies are often hard to review for me because all I have to do is check off everything I want in a movie like this. How are the characters? Good. Masterful performances from the entire cast. How is the story? Surprisingly intriguing and thought-provoking. On top of that, both of those elements come together so masterfully that it brings out a real emotional investment with what is going on on screen. You really cared and felt sympathetic for Richard and his mother during this whole fiasco. It just comes to show you that you shouldn't judge people by their appearance and that the middle-aged white man can also feel prejudice.
