Fantasia - Review

If you showed this movie to a younger Brandon, he would say this film is boring. All it is is just a bunch of classical music with cartoons over top of it. And to be completely honest, I think many people will still think that today when they see Fantasia. So if you need a cohesive narrative and constant stimulation, then Fantasia isn't for you.

However, if you are looking for a movie like nothing out there today that is a truly emotional experience, then look no further. As I get older (as I say that as a 24 year old lol), I can appreciate the talent that went into making this movie from an animation stand point. Knowing that the music came first and then the animators created their own narratives or series of moments to go along with the song, it makes the movie all the more impressive.

While I don't know how often I will be watching this movie, but I can say that this film is damn impressive. It truly shows you how powerful music can be in terms of providing an emotional response.
