The Man With The Golden Gun - Review

This film has a ton of potential. The world's greatest hitman vs. England's top secret agent. That is a great premise and Scaramanga, this film's villain is a very menacing opponent for 007. However, this film gets lost in bland cinematography, annoying Bond girls and side characters and a plot that is full of strange moments and feels like it's inside a pinball machine bouncing off so many unnecessary story decisions. While some of the action sequences are interesting like the car chase and Scaramanga's fun house, and Roger Moore is still in top form as the sauve, gentlemanly badass Bond, this film doesn't really have anything that makes it memorable. Not a terrible movie by any means, but it lacked a certain energy prevalent in other Bond films.
