Team America: World Police - Review

While I will be completely honest, if I saw this movie when I was 9 years old, I would have thought this is the funniest movie in existence. However, tastes change. While I was laughing out loud at first because of the sheer shock value of the vulgar, politically incorrect humour, but after a while the novelty wore off. With a film attacking the patriotism of America while also poking fun of America's enemies, the film lacks focus and becomes an excuse to fit in as much offensive humour as possible. Which if the film had a deeper focus, it may have worked. But as it is, I got the joke in the first 20 minutes, and it failed to really keep me invested from then on out. A movie that does provide some laughs, but there are better "dumb" comedies out there!
